Footcuffs was born in 2016, when I was asked by a friend to make something to keep their feet firmly on the rowing stretcher bar.  I'm a seamstress by trade, so got a bit creative with the 25mm webbing, and then, as a giggle, embroidered their name on it in chain stitch - like your mum used to on your PE bag.

 

A couple of other rowers  in their club saw it and wanted one too. The next ones became colourful. After that came the unicorns. Then the sparkle. The seats started in 2019, the erg seats and swimming bags came during lockdown, and now we're onto blade bags and the occasional rudder cover.  Who knows what comes next?
